Young adults and teens are purchasing what they believe are pills like Xanax for social anxiety and Adderall as a study aid.
But these fake pills are laced with fentanyl and may be deadly.
You may have seen the billboard sponsored by CARES on route 27 as you enter Metuchen from South Edison. It reads: One Pill Can Kill.
The billboard directs the public to the DEA webpage https://www.dea.gov/onepill where you can find information, videos, and interactive tools concerning these deadly pills and overdose.
