History Advisory Committee Information
The History Advisory Committee (formerly the Historic Preservation Committee) is operated under the authority established in Chapter 10 – Article 14 of the Metuchen Municipal Code.
Meeting dates are the 4th Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
METUCHEN HISTORY ADVISORY COMMITTEE GOALS
- Promote awareness and pride in the Borough’s history.
- Support the recognition and appreciation of the Borough’s historic character, including preservation of resources reflecting the Borough’s cultural, social, and architectural history.
- Serve as a resource for public education regarding the Borough’s history.
- Identify points of integration and collaboration with other Borough entities to highlight the Borough’s past.
- Foster partnerships to help promote education and awareness efforts of the Borough’s history.
