Beginning around June 25, The NJDOT will be replacing the Grove Ave. Bridge. During the duration of the project, Grove Avenue will be closed between Middlesex Avenue and James St. No through traffic will be allowed between Middlesex Ave and Oak Tree Rd. only local traffic. Once school reopens in September, the area under construction will be reduced to one lane until the project is complete. Traffic will be detoured around the site via Plainfield Rd.

Middlesex Water will be replacing a major water main along Main Street from Durham Avenue to Brunswick Avenue. Construction between Durham Ave. and Amboy Ave. will happen only at night (9pm-6am), and will involve segmented closures of Main St. . As the project advances between Amboy Ave. and Brunswick Ave., construction will take place during the day and involve lane shifts, and detours.
