VOTER & ELECTION INFORMATION
Metuchen residents may register at the Borough Clerk's office during regular office hours from 8-4. Special evening registration hours will be held on Monday nights until 9:00pm immediately prior to the cut-off date for primary and general elections. Please look in the newspaper for these dates.
In order to register to vote, a person must be a resident of Middlesex County 29 days before Election Day. A voter must be 18 years of age on or before the next election and be a citizen.
If you move within the County, you must fill out a transfer card. If you change your name, you must reregister.
Under State law, voters may also register to vote by mail by completing a registration form which is available in the Clerk's office, or call 632-8540.
Applications for absentee ballots can be obtained at the Borough Clerk's office and must be forwarded to the County Clerk at least seven (7) days before the election. Voter declaration of party affiliation must be filed no later than 50 days preceding the primary in which the voter wished to vote.

- Districts 1 and 3 - Metuchen High School, Grove Avenue
- Districts 2, 10, 11 and 12 - Campbell School, Durham Avenue
- Districts 4, 5, and 6 - Moss School, Simpson Place
- Districts 7, 8, 9, and 13 - Edgar School, Brunswick Avenue
