Metuchen Outdoor Dining and Retail Program
Starting Monday, June 15, 2020 many Metuchen businesses will be re-opening including all "non-essential" retailers as well as restaurants who can now offer food and beverages in outdoor settings. These businesses will be operating under guidelines from the NJ Department of Health and all customers are asked to continue to maintain social distancing and wear face coverings when entering businesses. We all must do our part to stop the spread of COVID19 while we begin some semblance of normal.
The Borough has worked very closely with the Metuchen Downtown Alliance (MDA), the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses to launch the Metuchen Outdoor Dining and Retail program. We have prepared a map showing locations of outdoor dining venues and a directory of participating businesses. We invite you to say hello to your favorite Metuchen businesses and restaurants starting on 6/15/2020 and remember - most restaurants continue to offer take-out, curbside pickup or delivery.
In collaboration with the Metuchen Downtown Alliance (MDA) and the Metuchen Area Chamber of Commerce, the Borough has created guidelines for the Outdoor Dining and Retail program. Review the Guidelines
